Rich in historical background, the South Atlantic Region captures the heartland of America. Ranging from Pennsylvania to North Carolina, and encompassing Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C., and Virginia, the SAR is home to dozens of unique but equally rewarding chapters, all under the leadership of Mayor Ari Luks.

A Letter from Ari:

Dear JSAer, The South Atlantic Region, while spread out over a large geographical area, is still a strong force in the Mid Atlantic State. I would like to begin by applauding the efforts of my cabinet, as well as the state cabinet, to increase membership in the SAR. Since the beginning of this year, we have made some serious achievements in starting new chapters as well as improving our presence as State Conventions.

While we are now stronger than ever before, there is still much work to be done. Our region needs to continue its efforts to both increase our membership base as well as the quality of our region. I will admit our difficulties in the area of communication, yet I feel confident that by year’s end we will have more than surpassed our goals.

It is my belief that our region will continue burgeon throughout the rest of the year. Over the next year our region will remain focused on two main goals – expansion and communication. The work that SARers have done thus far proves to me our capabilities. The future of our region does not solely lie in the hands of our leadership; it most importantly lies in the hands of you, a member of the SAR. It is only with the work and dedication of every member that our region will truly succeed. It is no secret that these are tough times for the SAR, yet with continued commitment, we will emerge successful in the end.

Sincerely,
Ari Luks
South Atlantic Region Mayor
